Biography

Brazilian actress well known for her roles in many telenovelas, occasional appearances in films and as a television host.

In 2017, she joined the Workers' Party (PT). In March 2019, she suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a hospital in Portugal. After undergoing medical procedures, the actress recovered well.

Camargo is the mother of two boys. She was married for 11 years to musician Marinho Boffa. The marriage ended in 1996, shortly after the death of her two-year-old daughter Maria Júlia, a victim of late congenital rubella.
