Biography
French veterinarian, physician, industrialist and entrepreneur, who discovered the properties of rabbit serum and demonstrated that this serum can revive anaemic people. In order to treat people who are weak and not very resistant to diseases, he demonstrated that rabbit serum, regenerated after a first bleeding, can strengthen the human immune defences; this serum having haemopoietic and haemostatic properties. He thus produced a drug to fight anaemia, tuberculosis and haemorrhages, in the form of drinkable ampoules and tablets, called "Hemostyl".
He died on 28 January 1947 in Boulogne-Billancourt, aged 69.
