Peruvian singer-songwriter and radio and television personality known for adding new styles to Creole music. Some of his songs were selected as World Cup anthems of the Peruvian national soccer team.

In 2009 he released his solo album Cajumba: jolgorio negro inspired by the style of Mario Cavagnaro. That year, together with Guajaja and Pepe Vásquez, he performed Christmas carols for the album Navidad Criolla which went platinum. In 2014 he released his album Esquina Perú which includes versions of popular Peruvian songs.

In 2015 he released the album Porque yo creo en ti (Because I believe in you). The title song was released two years earlier, and was used to represent the Peruvian soccer team when it was in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, which made it an Internet sensation. In its relaunch, several artists from salsa, cumbia and urban genres participated in a combined version. It was also used unofficially in local political campaigns.
