Biography

German physiologist, professor and author of the 1936 university textbook and standard work Einführung in die Physiologie des Menschen (Introduction to the Physiology of Man), in which all areas of human physiology are presented in comprehensive detail. He died on 14 May 1953 in Göttingen, aged 55.
