Biography
German psychologist, a pioneer of Ecopsychology (the study of the relationship between human beings and the natural world through ecological and psychological principles). Muchow was a close colleague of William Sterns, another German psychologist and philosopher. From 1929 she was a councilor at the Psychological Institute. Following Stern's forced dismissal, she planned to return to teaching. She died of injuries from a suicide attempt on September 29, 1933 in Hamburg.

"zu Hamburg, in seiner Wohnung, am fünf und zwanzigsten September des Jahres tausend acht hundert neunzig und zwei, nachmittags um vier Uhr ein Kind weiblichen Geschlechts geboren worden sei welches die Vornamen Martha Marie erhalten habe." [Abridged translation: at his apartment in Hamburg on the twenty-fifth of September of the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, at four o'clock in the afternoon, a female child was born, and named Martha Marie.]
