Biography
Norwegian writer and whistleblower in the so-called Siemens scandal where the company was investigated and reported to the police for overbilling the Armed Forces, as well as bribery of personnel in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Monsen was the newspaper VG's anonymous source which shed light on the illegalities taking place.
Monsen received the Zola Prize in 2007 and the Fritt Ords Prize in 2008 for his whistleblower role. In 2008, Monsen published the book "Muldvarp i Siemens" ('Mole at Siemens').
He is the brother of adventurer and TV personality Lars Monsen.
