Biography

Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Tuscany by birth who married a member of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.

Maria Isabella was the daughter of Leopoldo II, Grand Duke of Tuscany and his second wife, Princess Maria Antonia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.

Maria Isabella married her uncle Prince Francesco, Count of Trapani, youngest son of Francesco I of the Two Sicilies and his wife Maria Isabella of Spain, on 10 April 1850. Maria Isabella and Francis had six children.

She died on 14 July 1901, aged 67, in Lucerne, Switzerland.
