Biography
Brazilian sprinter specializing in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and the 4×100 metres relay, who won Silver in the latter event at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. His relay team mates were Edson Ribeiro, André da Silva and Claudinei da Silva.
De Silva was retroactively awarded the bronze medal for the 4×100 metres relay at the 2008 Summer Olympics following the demotion of the Jamaican team in 2017 for Nesta Carter's failed anti-doping test. His team mates were José Carlos Moreira, Sandro Viana and Bruno de Barros.
