Biography
French physician who founded medical genetics in France.
He was devoted to the study of twins and demonstrated the genetic transmission of many diseases. In 1951, the faculty of medicine created for him the first chair of medical genetics. In 1959 he published a novel work on hereditary diseases of metabolism.
He died on 28 August 1975, aged 79.
