Lisette Kornacher

Biography

German noblewoman noted as the model for the title figure in Heinrich von Kleist's 1807–1808 play Käthchen von Heilbronn.

Lisette Kornacher was the third of five daughters of the Mayor of Heilbronn, Georg Christoph Kornacher and Katharina Uhl.

On 1 May 1796 Lisette Kornacher married Heilbronn's chief medical officer Christian Johann Klett (1770-1823). They had nine children. She died in Heilbronn on 13 May 1858 at age 84.
