Biography
German stage, screen and radio actor, and film and theatre director, who appeared in 38 films from 1927 to 1945.
Ernst Karchow worked in various film productions mainly in supporting roles. Among them was the National Socialist (Nazi) propaganda film Verräter (Traitor) from 1936 by Karl Ritter. He also played in historical and entertainment films such as Lady Windermeres Fächer (Lady Windermere's Fan, 1935).
Ernst Karchow died on 7 October 1953 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, aged 61.
