Biography

American lawyer, politician and U.S. Senator, known as an authority, a hawk on national defense and liberal on social issues.

A consummate politician, he donated all money earned outside of his salary to Washington State scholarships.

A non-smoker who seldom drank, he exercised religiously. With a pedantic style, he was often unwilling to forgive slights or criticism.

On 12/16/1961, Jackson married a wife 21-years-younger than he and they had two kids.

Jackson had a massive heart attack 9/01/1983, 7:47 PM PDT, Everett, WA; he was pronounced dead at the hospital at 9:25 PM.
