Biography
Norwegian literary historian and literary critic. She was the newspaper Dagbladet's first critic of children's literature, a position she held from 1946 to 1971. It was she herself who suggested the paper start reviewing books for children and she had a stated goal of developing professional and scholastic based reviews of children's literature.
She is best known for her three volume historical work "Barnelitteratur i Norge" ('Children's literature in Norway'), which was published in 1965, 1970, and 1973. In 1980 she received the Arts Council Norway Honorary Award.
Hagemann died on 17 October 1983 in Oslo, Norway. She was 85.
