Biography
French physician, writer and traveller, who departed Paris in 1875 with his wife, Laure, for a study trip to the Far East. He then focused his research on the medical geography of China, the relationship of climate with epidemics and the health status of European concessions.
He died in Paris on 19 March 1899, aged 83.
