André Frédéric Cournand

Biography

French physician and physiologist, awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1956 along with Werner Forssmann and Dickinson W. Richards for the development of cardiac catheterization.

He died on 19 February 1988 at age 92 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, USA.
