Biography
American writer and book illustrator, published at age 11 with her book, "Chicken Pox Explosion!" in June 2000. The memoir was the result of a holiday in Italy when she was nine and came down with the disease. Her grandfather, Adolph Caso, a published author, helped make the contacts to get her book, geared for children aged 4-8 into the hands of a publisher who was enchanted by the 32-page story.
Laura said in an interview, though she'd like to write another book, that her "true ambition is the theater."
