Biography
German film, television and theatre actress who won the Film Award in 1972 and 1975. On stage she appeared in plays by Gerhart Hauptmann, Arthur Schnitzler, and August Strindberg. She performed in more than 50 films. She also worked extensively as a voice actor and was dubbed over Margaret Rutherford (Passport to Pimlico), Françoise Rosay (Le Joueur) and Helene Thimig (Decision Before Dawn). Lina Carstens died on 22 September 1978 in Munich, aged 85.
