Biography

Scottish actress who made her screen debut at age seven playing the role of Young Murron in Mel Gibson's film Braveheart (1995). Since returning to the screen sixteen years later, playing Ruth in the short film Land of Dreams (2011), Calvey has appeared in two dozen roles in short and feature films and a television series. For her performance as Elizabeth de Burgh in Richard Gray's film Robert the Bruce (2019) she won the Best Newcomer award at the National Film Awards UK.

Calvey grew up on the Isle of Arran. She has worked as a radio DJ and fashion model and earned her BA (Hons) in Acting at the Guildford School of Acting.

In 2019 she started her production company Dream Reel Entertainment and went on to direct, write and produce her debut short film Gaslight about the effects of domestic abuse.
