Biography
French General, geographer and senator, who, between 1901 and 1906, as a Lieutenant-Colonel, directed the measurement of the meridian arc of Quito in South America, organized by the geodesy section of the Geographical Service of the French Army and the Academy of Sciences.
He died on 10 November 1945, aged 88, in Paris.
