Biography
Norwegian painter, illustrator, film director, graphics artist, and writer. As a painter, he has been exhibited at the National Gallery. He made his debut in 1969 with the picture book "Den store blå bukken" ('The big blue billy goat'), with texts based on Norwegian fairy tales retold in rhymes. He also created animation films for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
Bjørklid died on 27 January 2020 aged 94.
