Biography

French industrial dairy milk producer, who founded the Besnier group in 1935, buying raw cow milk from farmers to transform it into Camembert cheese.

He died in Laval on 21 June 1955 at age 60. He left his son Michel the company with 50 employees, which subsequently became Lactalis, a major player in the agri-food industry around the world.
