Biography
American assistant director in the silent and early sound film eras. In the first twelve years of his career he would work almost exclusively with three directors: E. Mason Hopper, Edward H. Griffith, and Paul Stein, who directed seventeen of the twenty-one films on which Babille was the assistant director. He left the film industry in 1939, and died on 18 February 1970 at age 86 in Los Angeles.
