THE MONTH OF AUGUST - PATHS ARE MADE BY WALKING

The exceptionally intense constellations around the Full Moon at the end of July can still be clearly felt in the first days of August. Yet this month also brings important astrological events: a solar eclipse in Leo on 12 August and a lunar eclipse in Pisces on 28 August. The quality of time speaks of deeply romantic feelings and transcendent relationship experiences. It also calls on you to believe in yourself and act with confidence. Toward the end of the month, the general mood becomes more nervous and restless. However, this high vibration is also well suited to retreats, rituals or meditation.

THE CURRENT QUALITY OF TIME

The fading square between Venus and Mars gets another strong boost in the first days of the month. Both form a challenging aspect to Lilith in Sagittarius: Venus from Virgo on 2 August, Mars from Gemini on 4 August. Tensions in relationships now usually have their roots in unconscious desires or unclear communication. Try to say what you would rather keep silent about. Find an outlet for the archaic energy that may now be simmering inside you, whether through exercise, creative work or shared activities in nature.

On 3 August, Chiron turns retrograde in Taurus until 6 January 2027. During the weeks of its stay in Taurus, concern for nature, the environment and food production was at the forefront in many places. Until its re-entry into Aries in September, these topics will remain on the agenda. On a personal level, you can now also ask yourself how much material substance you truly need in order to be happy.

On 6 August, Venus enters Libra. On 7 August, the Leo Sun trines Saturn in Aries. Clear leadership impulses are now very welcome and can meet with a positive response. This is a good time to start a new project or restructure things. Diplomatic solutions are also favored, whether on the political stage or in personal relationships.

Over the following days, a complex astrological "climate" builds up and reaches its peak at the New Moon on 12 August. On 9 August, Mercury enters Leo, squaring Chiron one day later. On 12 August, it is opposite Pluto, trine Neptune and sextile Uranus. On 15 August, it reaches the conjunction with Jupiter. Venus trines Pluto on 10 August, opposes Neptune on 11 August and trines Uranus on the 12th. Mars enters the sign of Cancer on 11 August. During the Leo New Moon on 12 August, a solar eclipse takes place (Saros Cycle 126). The aspect figure shows a grand trine of Venus, Uranus and Pluto. Sextiles to Mercury on one side and Neptune on the other extend it into two kite figures. All transpersonal planets are integrated into the aspect figure (see chart).

The quality of time during these days is intense and ambivalent. So be very attentive in order to make the best of the opportunities that arise. The kite figure with Venus opposite Neptune points to a deep longing for peace and harmony. Love matters are highly charged with romance. Under the influence of Pluto and Uranus, encounters may feel transcendent and fated. This is a good time to take steps into something new. Perhaps you want to engage more deeply with an existing connection, or even enter into an entirely new love relationship. Yet in this passionate and mystically charged time, it is wise to do a reality check now and then. Ask yourself whether you are idealizing someone too strongly. That someone could very well be yourself.

The second kite figure, with the opposition of Mercury and Pluto and the harmonious aspects to Venus and Uranus, relates to communication and trade. During this time, new paths may appear that intensify and even revolutionize exchange. At the same time, strongly suggestive forces may also be at work, trying to make something attractive to you that has no realistic basis. Stay alert and do not allow yourself to be manipulated, either in your personal environment or in political and social discourse. Examine offers carefully, especially when they involve money matters or other long-term commitments. Be prudent with investments or games of chance. During this time, large gains are just as possible as heavy losses.

The solar eclipse in Leo encourages you to believe in yourself and follow your heart. You can now release strong and persistent attachments and take a major step toward self-empowerment and personal responsibility. By acting clearly and decisively, you can change your personal situation for the better. The effects of an eclipse usually become more clearly visible only in the weeks that follow. But since the quality of time is exceptionally complex and charged, it is quite possible that events requiring your full attention will occur on the day of the eclipse itself.

Mars in Cancer squares Neptune on 17 August, while Mercury forms a trine with Saturn. Your energy level may not be especially high on this day. If possible, allow yourself a break. This day is also well suited to meditation, music or a visit to a museum. With Mars in Cancer, the focus is on belonging. So, family matters may increasingly take center stage.

On 21 August, Venus and Saturn are in opposition, embedded in harmonious aspects with Jupiter in Leo and the Moon in Sagittarius. This is an excellent time to clarify relationships or get budgets in order. The mood is sober and loving at the same time. It is a good day to do someone a favor without expecting anything in return.

Toward the end of the month, the quality of time changes noticeably. On 23 August, the Sun enters Virgo, and Mercury follows on 25 August. The Sun and Mercury meet in a conjunction on 27 August. On 28 August, there is a Full Moon in Pisces, together with a lunar eclipse. The Sun, Mercury and Moon form a t-square with Uranus.

These days bring a nervous, almost electrically charged atmosphere. The often exalted mood of recent weeks has awakened many hopes and fueled great expectations. But now unexpected ruptures may appear, raising uncomfortable questions as well. Do not react too quickly. Take time to check the information. You may need to adjust your plans. During this period, also expect surprising news and disruptions in the areas of communication, trade and traffic.

Yet, the time around the Full Moon also has a very different side. It is wonderfully suited to a retreat, a ritual or any other conscious engagement with your own spiritual path. It is a good day to withdraw from the busyness of everyday life and seek silence. In this silence, you can hear your inner voice more clearly than usual.
