THE CURRENT QUALITY OF TIME
The quality of time in December speaks of positive feelings and a fundamental openness throughout the month. However, in the middle of the month, excessive expectations could lead to disappointments and require a reality check. Invigorating tension characterizes the last third of the month. It could make this year's Christmas a special occasion.
On December 1, there is a New Moon in Sagittarius. Shortly after that, the Moon reaches the opposition to Jupiter in Gemini. On December 2, Mercury in Sagittarius trines Chiron in Aries and Venus in Capricorn trines Uranus in Taurus. The time quality of these days speaks of positive feelings and a willingness to stand up for what is good without much fuss. You can now clarify relationships or establish new connections. The current openness to new ideas goes hand in hand with a realistic perception of the world and allows you to see the bigger picture.
On December 4, Mercury reaches the opposition to Jupiter. The Sun squares Saturn; two days later, it forms a conjunction with Mercury. Now is the time to take a concrete step forward and make dreams come true. These days, many conversations and discussions may also be necessary, although the respective points of view could be noticeably subjective.
In the following days, the quality of time will intensify significantly. On December 7, the opposition between the Sun and Jupiter will be exact. Mercury is in exact square with Saturn. Venus leaves the somewhat sober Capricorn, enters experimental Aquarius, and immediately meets Pluto. Mars in Leo stands still and begins its retrograde phase, which lasts until February 24. Neptune, on the other hand, ends its retrograde on December 8. It will continue to move through the last degrees of Pisces over the next few months and enter Aries for the first time in March 2025.
During these days, desires, longings, and demands could be pretty powerful. The desire for a new experience, a new kick, or a profound change could sometimes feel a bit compulsive. Excessive expectations can lead to disappointment. Do an honest reality check and adjust your plans to the possibilities.
Desires and cravings remain an issue in the coming days. On December 12, Venus, still intensely energized by Pluto, is opposite Mars. Some big wishes could come true now. You may even be lucky enough to fulfill someone's deepest wish.
On December 15, there is a Full Moon in Gemini. Mercury ends its retrograde phase on the same day. The Full Moon is in tension with Neptune, and the Sun reaches the exact square with Neptune on December 18. In the sometimes hectic pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, there could now be welcome moments that invite you to pause or bring a surprising silence. The question of meaning may also arise. Just carry this question in your heart for a while. During the Christmas days, it could receive an answer.
On December 20, Venus trines Jupiter. On the 21st, the Sun enters Capricorn - it is the solstice. At the same time, the Moon opposes Saturn and squares Jupiter. The square between Saturn and Jupiter becomes exact on December 24, and with Mercury opposite Jupiter on the 26th, a T-square is formed that remains active throughout the Christmas season.
This tension during the Christmas period will be hard to ignore, but it could have a revitalizing effect. Mercury and Jupiter indicate a fundamental openness and willingness to communicate. Share and listen before you judge. However, the focus of the T-square is Saturn in Pisces. It speaks of a lack of compassion, the soul's thirst for a spiritual home, and the fear of being forgotten. Take this voice seriously, too, for it can lead those willing to engage with their innermost selves deep into the mystery of Christmas – the birth of the new light in the darkness.
On December 27, Mercury squares Saturn, and Venus squares Uranus on the 28th. The Capricorn New Moon is on December 30. Retrograde Mars is about to reach the opposition to Pluto in Aquarius (which is exact on January 3, 2025). The mood at the end of the month is relatively sober and increasingly charged. This is an excellent time to look back at the past year's events. The conclusions that arise from this could be more straightforward than expected and show you which path to take in the new year.

This month's brightened mood is welcome to everyone after a year that has brought many challenges and not infrequent feelings of being overwhelmed. This last month of the year is an excellent time to take stock. Take the time to look back before you look ahead.
