Coğrafi Veriler
Coğrafi veriler, yani coğrafi koordinatlarıyla konumlar, çeşitli kamu kaynaklarından gelir:
- Kamu Malı Veritabanı www.geonames.org
- Thomas G. Shanks tarafından yazılan The American Atlas (1996) ve The International Atlas, 6. baskı (2006) adlı iki kitaptan, Astro Communications Inc. tarafından yayınlanmıştır.
- Astrodienst tarafından toplanan veriler, 1980'den beri
Saat Dilimi Verileri
Aşağıdaki harita, kamuya açık TZ veritabanında (sürüm 2009r) bulunan yaklaşık 400 bölgeyi göstermektedir.
Zaman dilimleri ve yaz saati uygulamasıyla ilgili güncel ve geçmiş bilgiler şu kaynaktan gelmektedir:
- kamu malı veritabanı TZ, özellikle 1970'ten sonraki veriler için Wikipedia TZ Veritabanı'na bakın.
- Thomas G. Shanks tarafından yazılan ve Astro Communications Inc. tarafından yayınlanan The American Atlas (1996) ve The International Atlas, 6. baskı (2006), adlı iki kitaptan, yalnızca 1970'ten önceki veriler için, ulusal standardizasyonundan önce çeşitli Kanada ve ABD eyaletlerinde yaz saati uygulamasının düzensiz kullanımı için önemli bir kaynak.
- Gabriel'in Traité de l'heure dans le monde adlı kitabından saat dilimi bilgileri (1990), L'astrologie confrontée aux régimes des zones occupied en France de 1914 à 1945, Guy Mayeres (2006), Новый справочник астролога. - Astrodienst'in 1980'deki kuruluşundan bu yana Alois Treindl tarafından yapılan araştırma ve veri toplama, bunlardan bazıları kamuya açık TZ veritabanına da dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma için en önemli birincil kaynaklar gazete arşivleri, eski havaalanı verileri ve tren tarifeleridir.
Rules for using the service
The Astrodienst server is a reference source for private use by astrologers. It is not allowed to build a commercial service based on the resources of this server, or to extract the information in this server systematically for data capture.If our system detects an excessive number of requests from the same source within a certain period of time, it will automatically refuse further access.
No Atlas Access via Software
The Astrodienst server is intended to be used by human individuals, who use an Internet browser interactively to connect to our server and type their queries by hand. Automatic access by query-generating software is not acceptable and will be considered illegal. Should we be able to identify that from some connections automatic queries are arriving, we block the Internet address groups which are the source of such queries.
Some developers
of astrological software may have the plan to build
automatic access to this server into their programs. This would
allow them to offer complete city and timezone information in their
software without having to make any effort, just by sending a few
URLs over the Internet. Currently they must license a database
from companies like ACS if they want to include this information in
their software programs.
We as the providers of this atlas service have no intention to damage the business of ACS and others who offer city and timezone databases for sale. We find it important that they can continue in their commercial activities. Therefore we deny permission to software developers to program automatic access to our database into their software.
