Advent Calendar 2024

The Amazon represents the wild, untamed aspect of the self. This part of ourselves makes us proudly and impetuously set out to conquer life and emerge victorious. The Amazons were the first to tame horses, giving them a significant advantage in upcoming battles: they were faster and more agile than the infantry. Amazons usually rode backward on their horses and swung their indispensable double-edged axe.

They often worshipped their goddess in the form of a mare. We need the power of the Amazons when we want to put ideas into action and when an impulse to act is to follow a particular determination. Amazons were considered independent of place and time. But they were much more likely to create time and space and thus unfold their power.

This power was not tied to the ego but concentrated the creative powers of the soul, manifesting them visibly in the external world. Amazons were proud, free, fearless, and unconquerable. They embodied the valuable qualities that promise and enable victory.
