Reunited with a person I had a missed connection with.
Also awkwardly matched on tinder with someone I met in 2017. lips sealed
Back into dating.

NM mNK - Adtenaline rides today like I used to, went with my friend and had a super happy, peaceful fun day. The new moon was also opposing my south node in a, rides

Made peace with some relationships that had been shaky. The new balanced energy is very calming. I have been feeling very alone lately, today I was finally happy.

Hurricane Ian is headed straight for us here in southwest Florida ; we are preparing to hunker down and ride it out here; hope we dont lose power for too long or my house blow away; gulp; I’m close to coast but not in evacuation zone ; schools closed for days; everyone acting jumpy, animals too; daughter turns 13 on Thursday so we are teasing her for ordering a hurricane for her birthday …

Me too. Jaceymacy.
Very peaceful
So peaceful. Lol. I hardly wrote my intentions out.
Yes. Shaky relationships.
My sister and I decided to begin calling again.
We both ditched Facebook completely. The neurosis of it was quite compelling.
Repelling
Derailing into a lost world of no real human contact.
Like talking to people with glass between you.
Rather off kilter.
Breath of fresh air, the human love of life.
The real touch.
I may began writing my grand daughters letters again.
They love it.
The picture and writing not lost.

My friends and family are safe but many are suffering or have suffered here in Florida.  Please keep us in your minds and send happy thoughts; millions of people are without power right now with more damage and flooding coming

Glad to know you are doing ok, AD3. It sounds just awful from what I have seen on the news reports. My daughter has been working in Tampa, but evacuated to Orlando yesterday. It looks like Orlando will miss a direct hit as Ian is a bit south and headed out to sea again?

My grandmother is in Orlando and her shed got torn up and they had tropical storm winds but they were spared the worst of it.  People are still stranded in flooded houses and there are parades of ambulances headed south on the interstate as well as the entire fairgrounds being filled with electric trucks from all over the state and out of state.  It’s amazing to watch everyone come together and help.  Trees and fences are down all over town and the further south the worse it gets.  Some got power back but many still without power ; I don’t have internet but Wi-Fi hotspots have been opened up ; communication is iffy but I was able to get on the school website to find that schools are still housing people as shelters and with so much flooding and damage and power lines down, they will remain closed through next week.  I’ve gone through many storms but 155 mph gave us really no chance.  My carpet is wet from rain coming thru cracks windows and doors but I’m so lucky.  Moms elderly neighbor lost her roof and had to evacuate mid storm.  It sounded like a freight train coming through; we were all very frightened.  I may drive south to grab some wet towels and help a powerless friend get sone laundry done.  A very eerie and scary vibe has been left by Ian and we are all picking up the pieces.  Everything is in shambles.
I’m glad your daughter was safe through the process.  I consider myself a seasoned hurricaner and I remember evacuating to Orlando as a kid only to return home to sea creatures swimming on my street.  This was worse and people are still trapped in their flooded houses even now; as we sort through the aftermath those people are still in it and suffering…. I’m thinking of contacting the Red Cross and see if I can help somehow; it’s hard to try to go back to normal when normal has been washed away.

Please send prayers and vibes our way.

I read it. Houses ended up in other people's lawns
Cars floated away.

AD3, that sounds hideous and quite terrifying, even for a seasoned hurricaner! Hope you and your loved ones are safe and well, sending prayers and vibes your way

This particular hurricane was a bit of a monster, was larger than the state of Florida itself, which is most unusual. Apparently you could fit Hurricane Charley inside the eye of Ian alone

I feel this is a sign of things to come, with Climate change. Warmer weather means bigger storms.

Doubtful he will … there are some theories that he’s trying to sway the media into covering only the fancy houses and rich peoples boats and focusing on threatening looters with guns instead of the reality which is that 10,000 people are still missing and dead bodies are floating in the water.  I’m afraid when all the videos and stories emerge from those who are still trapped without power a different story will show.  A story which includes negligence from officials who failed to evacuate Lee county where most deaths occurred until 24 hours after other counties evacuated leaving the poor without time or means to get to safety.  Desantis is vigorously defending officials and blaming the media and others for not doing his job.  I’ve heard reports about the smell of death coming from houses and rescue workers marking houses with dead people with spray paint so they can move on looking for survivors.  Things are bad but the reality may be much worse…

On a positive , my bestie and mom both got power a couple days ago as did my neighborhood last night. Schools rumored to start back next week in some areas, though some are still being used for shelters  I feel most fortunate to have not lost anything but old carpet and to have had power and water.  It’s interesting how your perspective can shift to what’s really important.

Thanks for the support Astro friends.
