The National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) was founded on March 6 1971 at 21:02 in Wareham, Massachusetts/USA.

Together with the AFA (American Federation of Astrologers) and ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research), it is one of three leading American astrological associations.

Memberships

Currently, the NCGR claims 2,500 members, including a growing number from outside the United States.
Its organizational structure is decentralized and consists of 42 local chapters, 26 in U.S. states and the rest in four other countries.
There are also so-called Special Interest Groups.

The NCGR is a member of the UAC (United Astrology Conference), the world's most important astrological congress, which takes place every three years in the United States.

Presidents

Neil Michelsen und Robert Hand formerly were presidents of the organization.
