Sy Scholfield quotes from two books: The Pragmatics of Literary Testimony: Authenticity Effects in German Social Autobiographies by Chantelle Warner (Routledge, 2013), p. 187: "Zaimoğlu even provides his own hints of autobiographicality toward the end of the book by having the doctor inform Leyla: “Du hast um vier Uhr siebenundfünfzig einen Sohn geboren, kaum war der Sohn auf der Welt, erklang der Ausruf zum Morgengebet” (“At 7:50 you gave birth to a son. Your son had just barely arrived when the call to the morning prayer rang out”) after having written elsewhere that he himself was born at exactly this time (Zaimoğlu, 1998: 11)."

Translation: On 4 December 1964, a Friday morning at 7:50, he was born, acording to a report his mother told him and wrote down.
