Biography
German military figure, the leading Bavarian soldier of his day. Appointed Bavarian field-marshal in 1814, he represented Bavaria at the Congress of Vienna. On 18 March 1795, he married Sofie, Gräfin von Wiser (1771–1837), by whom he had eight children. He died in Ellingen on 12 December 1838.

April 1767 Morgens zwischen 3 und 4 Uhr, und an demselben Tage in der Psarrei beim heiligen Geist getaust."
Translation: The fourth son, and also the youngest of his siblings, Karl Philipp was born at Heidelberg on 29 April 1767 between 3 and 4 o'clock in the morning and was baptized on the same day in the Psarrei of the Holy Spirit.
