American baseball player who was one of the greatest shortstops in Dodger history and their all-time stolen base leader with 490 steals. His lifetime batting average in 14 seasons was .281 and he had a total of 586 steals, including a record 104 in 1962. Wills also was named Major League Player of the Year by Sporting News in 1962.
