American college football player and football and basketball coach. He played football with Michigan State from 1931 to 1933, and coached at Yale (line) in 1934 to 1941 and 1945 to 1946, and then at Lafayette in 1947 and 1948 and Wisconsin from 1949 to 1955.
He was born the 3rd child in his family.
He died in Madison, Wisconsin on 19 February 1969.
