Italian mathematician whose scientific production took place in three different directions: projective geometry of algebraic entities (1934-1935), geometry in the complex field and projective-differential geometry (1938).
In Bologna he founded a graduate school for experts in geometry. From 1945 to 1961 he held the position of secretary of the Italian Mathematical Union.
He died of a disease in Bologna on 16 November 1973.
