Source Notes

Sy Scholfield provided entry from birth registry.

Previously this entry had same data (rated A): Pagan quotes official announcement in Pioneer to Poet. Scholfield quotes the Court Circular in The Times [London], 26 October 1887, p. 9: "Balmoral Oct. 25 ... safely delivered of a daughter yesterday afternoon." Yet Scholfield also notes a different time of "Monday morning, the 24th ... at a quarter to four o'clock" in the official supplement in the London Gazette, 28 October 1887, p. 5763. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/25751/page/5763
