Biography
French boxer, who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Light Welterweight division. 4 times military word champion, he only won an Olympic medal and claimed the refereeing was unfair at the Olympics. After a deep depression, he wanted to take revenge and was training hard for Rio 2016.
Four of his siblings were amateur boxers (coached by their father), including Célie, his younger sister, who died in a car accident on 3 January 2015.
Alexis Vastine died, aged 28, on 9 March 2015 in the Villa Castelli helicopter collision during the filming of French reality TV show "Dropped."
