Biography
Australian television and social media personality, who from 2008 to 2011 appeared in The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY), an American reality TV series. His partner Alex McCord (and their two children) also appeared with him in the series. Whereas before they lived a normal life, the airing of the formerly private aspects of their personal lives on television had deleterious effects on their marriage. They were not invited back to the show after the fourth season, and resuming their normal lives and careers proved difficult.
In 2013, van Kempen and McCord appeared on Couples Therapy, an American reality television show airing on the cable network VH1 that chronicles unemployed reality television performers as they receive relationship counselling from Dr. Jenn Mann, Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist, and her staff.
In 2015, van Kempen and McCord moved their family to Queensland, Australia to make a new start.
