American agricultural engineer and CEO of IMC Fertilizer, the world's largest producer of phosphate rock and potash. The company diversified into the purchase of energy reserves from Chevron in the Gulf of Mexico and found oil and gas while mining sulphur. Turner was a graduate of Texas A & M with a BS degree in Agricultural Engineering and enjoyed hunting and fishing for his time away from the office. He died in Lakeland, Florida on 25 April 2020 at age 89.
