American attorney and bonsai enthusiast noted as the first Japanese American to graduate from Yale Law School. During World War II he was a member of the Varsity Victory Volunteers, 442 Regimental Combat Team, and the Military Intelligence Service. His book, My Life's Journey: A Memoir was published in 2017. Ted Tsukiyama married and had three children. He died on 13 February 2019 at age 98 from complications after a stroke.
