Biography

Belgian surgeon and ophthalmologist, who obtained his medical degree at the University of Brussels in 1871. From 1873 to 1880 he worked as a doctor at the Ixelles Charity Office. The following year he worked as a deputy surgeon in the autopsy department of the Brussels hospitals. Then he worked as a surgical clinic assistant at hôpital Saint-Jean. He was Chief of Service at hôpital Saint-Pierre. He died in Brussels on 25 December 1896.
