Biography
American writer, novelist and playwright. Some of his noted works include "Monsieur Beaucaire" in 1900 and "Penrod" in 1914. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1919 for literature with the fiction novel "Magnificent Andersons" and achieved another Pulitzer Prize in 1922 for "Alice Adams."
Died 5/19/1946.
