Marlene Dietrich's father(s)

Since Dietrich was born in 1901, how could her father die in the First World War when she was nine? The text confuses her real father, a police officer, with her stepfather, who apparently did die in the war. I may return here after checking further. Axel Harvey 23:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
