Italian mining engineer and geologist who undertook geological excursions at the end of the 19th century on Alpine peaks, particularly on the Cozie and Monviso Alps, then turned to the study of mineral deposits at the beginning of the new century, conducting geomagnetic prospecting in Italy, with particular reference to the territories of Cogne and Sardinia, Alghero and Sassari.
He was president of the Italian Geological Society in 1917 and 1927. He died in 1944 in Rome.
