French physician, Doctor of Medicine (Paris, 1864), Doctor of Hospitals of Lyon (1883), Professor of Therapeutics at the Mixed Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Lyon (1877-1907), and Member of the Academy of Medicine, elected Correspondent for the Division of Anatomy and Physiology on 4 February 1896. He died on 28 September 1921 in Lyon, aged 87.
