Costa Rican poet and lawyer. He collaborated with many of the magazines in America and Europe and was a constant worker spirit as a poet, orator, journalist, teacher, and as a parliamentarian and diplomat. At the age of 20 years (in 1914), was honored in the Floral Games with his poem THE TRIUMPH OF IDEAL, and later look at your library, along with this award, numerous trophies and medals won in the battles of the spirit, both in Costa Rica and abroad. Omar Dengo partner in the Theosophical Society and Roberto Brenes Mesen in the Masonic Lodge, contributed several works that day are still studied today. On 12 October 1933 he was named corresponding member of the Academy of the Spanish Language. In 1936 he was called by the Rector of the University of Panama to issue ten lectures on Literature Hispano-American and in 1942, the Office of the Coordinator of Washington invited him to lecture at various universities, making a tour of the United States Ambassador of Culture.
He died on 13 July 1943, held the position of Secretary of the University of Costa Rica.
