Biography

Brazilian Colonel, the son of immigrants Philipp Leonard Niederauer and Catharina Diehl Niederauer. He fought in the War of the Triple Alliance, commanding the 3rd Brigade Imperial Cavalry. He was mortally wounded on December 13, 1868 in the Battle of Avai.
