Clive Smith

British-Canadian director and animator who, co-founded Canadian animation studio Nelvana in 1971. The firm's first feature film was the 1983 "Rock and Rule." He has provided animation for such directors as George Lucas, Tim Burton and Steven Spielberg. Nelvana was sold in 2000 and Smith retired from the stuido a year later.
