Willy Sluiter (Standing in front of easel at centre)


Dutch painter, draftsman and graphic designer who drew political cartoons, made posters and advertising art, and designed book covers. Well known are his 38 covers of sheet music that he created between 1920 and 1925 for publisher Scheltens en Giltay.

In 1901, he married Agatha Anna Louise van Nievervaart (1874-1957), and from this marriage their daughter Johanna Adriana (1902-1991) was born.

He died in Den Haag on 22 May 1949.
