Biography

Polish lieutenant colonel in the Polish Air Force and aviator famous for his transatlantic solo flight in 1933.

He was killed after midnight of 26 June 1942 when he returned from a great raid on Bremen, flying as a pilot in the crew of the Vickers Wellington bomber .
