Biography
French actress, famed for Marc Allegret's "Lac Aux Dames." Her career lasted through the mid-50s and included "Cat People," 1943 and "Curse of the Cat People," 1944.
As a young woman, she was educated in several countries and chose to settle in Paris to study sculpture, but soon turned to dress-design and modeling. Her attraction to modeling and design led to film work, first in light comedies. In the '30s, Simon traveled to Hollywood, going back and forth between the U.S. and France doing film and stage.
On February 22, 2005, the French actress died at age 93 in Paris.
