Biography

American astrologer from 1965. In 1998 he spoke at the AFA Convention, Orlando, Florida, on diurnals and decumbiture charts. Joe was the eldest of seven children, two brothers now deceased, and four sisters. He began to study astrology in 1964 and still considers himself a student though he went professional when Saturn transited into his first house in 1971. He has lectured widely at AFA conventions and first lectured on diurnals in Lynchburg, VA for Seven Hills Conference. His astrological approach is practical. He will soon be published by AFA, (2002), with a book to be called "Declinations, Diurnals and Decumbtures." He wrote extensively for Mercury Hour, and has done a sun-sign column which stressed more the rising sign than the sun sign, in the early Seventies.

Through his lifetime, Joe has held jobs in many categories; media, import-export, insurance investigations, architecture, gardening, bookselling. As a professional counseling astrologer, his extensive client list covers three continents, North America, Europe and Asia. He hates it when someone says a particular chart is "the worst ever seen" or when someone alibis rude behavior by some aspect in the natal chart. Joe has done historical and genealogical research in several big university libraries without matriculating and an eternal student, he is self-taught in many things of personal interest to himself, without academic credits. What he knows, he learned the hard way.

He died on January 12, 2004 in San Francisco at about 12:15 PM when he collapsed from shortness of breath, just prior to kidney dialysis.

Source Notes

LMR quotes him, rectified from his dad's memory of a few minutes after six in the evening as he was in the garden smoking a cigar with a neighbor. Many astrologers have come up with wild chart rectifications for him, but the time he uses has always worked with past events and with events noted since 1960s.
